With BlackJack Racing For Daytona

WESTBY, Wisconsin (January 23, 2007) - - BlackJack Racing is eager to get their sophomore season underway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Daytona next month. However, a problem the team faced in 2006 is still haunting them heading into the season opener which is just under three weeks away, a primary sponsor.

Despite no secured backing for much of the 2006 season, BlackJack Racing with rookie driver Dexter Bean overcame the odds, traveled long days and nights and cut every possible corner imaginable to record a stellar 12th place championship effort competing in 22 ARCA RE/MAX Series events netting two top-fives and five top-10s including career bests of fourth at Pocono Raceway (July) and Chicagoland Speedway (September).

In fact, the last four races of the season, BlackJack Racing roared to life with one top-five, one pole and three top-10 finishes just missing four consecutive top-10s in a row with a 11th at Salem Speedway after claiming the pole at one of ARCA’s most demanding short tracks.

Now, with all eyes focused on the 55th season for the ARCA RE/MAX Series, BlackJack Racing opens their car up to any potential organizations who are interested in trying the market of Motorsports as advisement, while also feeling the power of Daytona International Speedway and the force of the ARCA RE/MAX Series as an extra bonus.

“We’re looking and praying for a sponsor,” said driver Dexter Bean. “This team really came on strong late last year and we would really like to keep that momentum going, but we need some extra financial strength to take this team to the next level.”

The Wisconsin native continued, “We did a lot last year with very little, we probably spent a quarter of what some of the more funded teams in the series had in their budget. We have everything in place to make a sponsor a good home, we just need a sponsor.”

Team owner David Bean states the team has several different packages available to interested parties. “BlackJack Racing has a lot of promise for Daytona, but we can’t make it a reality without some help. We have many different levels of sponsorship packages available for an attractive cost. We’re not in this business to get rich or get out ahead; we’re here to race and make our sponsors proud.”

Currently, BlackJack Racing has several associate sponsors from their state of Wisconsin helping with some of the minimal expenses, but the addition of a strong organization will allow the team to prepare to make a run for the championship in 2007.

Heading into the 2007 season, driver Dexter Bean has 26 ARCA RE/MAX Series starts to his credit with two-top fives finishes and seven top-10 efforts. He holds a career best finish of fourth at Pocono Raceway (July 2006) and Chicagoland Speedway (September 2006). He owns the 2006 Pork pole award at Salem Speedway (September) while hoisting a career-best superspeedway time trials effort of fourth at Pocono Raceway (June 2006). Bean also has controlled the ARCA field for 84 laps in three races.

“Wouldn’t it be nice to end up in victory lane with a new sponsor and leading the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings? It can happen,” concluded Dexter Bean.

Bryan Silas; Fast Track Racing Continue Intense Testing;

Lakeland A Success

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Saturday, January 13, 2007) - - If there is one team on the ARCA RE/MAX Series circuit who seems prepared for the 2007 season, many point fingers to Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track Racing with rookie driver Bryan Silas.

Since the checkered flag flew last October at Iowa Speedway, the team didn’t send their helmets or gloves to the cleaners instead they quickly dusted them off and returned to action. Since the close of the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series season the team has tested at Salem Speedway (Indiana), Daytona International Speedway (Florida) and now USA International Speedway, known to many as Lakeland Speedway (Florida). Lakeland is a new event on the 2007 series calendar and the team felt to get a jump-start on the rest of the competition it was imperative to test at the three-fourths (.075)-mile paved oval.

On January 4, Fast Track Racing unloaded two No. 11 Chevrolet Monte Carlos sending Silas on his own for another eight-hour single test session. Throughout the day, Silas’s times continued to improve. The driver was able to give positive feedback to his FTR crew enabling the team to adjust the handling, equaling faster lap times for Silas. When the sun set, the team loaded up with confidence.

“It was a very successful day for Fast Track Racing,” said team owner and former ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Andy Hillenburg. “Bryan continues to impress me. The more we have him on the track, the better he adapts. His feedback is the biggest change that I’ve noticed. He was able to give us incredible notes from inside the car to make the car faster. That is the biggest thing I’m after before we embark on the 2007 ARS (ARCA RE/MAX Series) season; I’m very pleased with that progress.”

For Silas, he was eagerly excited about the results of the test. “I really think we did well,” said Silas, who resides in Florida. “We don’t really know where we stand as far as our other competitors because this is an inaugural race for all of us, but I think we have a good platform to start.”

He continued, “I believe we’re coming back here one more time before we arrive for the race, which is good. The off season testing is really helping me as a driver and having the knowledge and guidance from Andy (Hillenburg) is a huge reason for my success.”

Following the test at USA International Speedway (Lakeland), Silas joined fellow colleagues including racing competitors David Ragan and Chad McCumbee at Moroso Motorsports Park participating in a 24-hour go-kart competition. While the trio didn’t win the event, they did start on the pole and lead the pack for several hours before settling with an eighth place finish.

“The go-kart race was fun, but I would rather drive an ARCA RE/MAX Series in a 24-hour event than the go-kart. While they are fun to race, the go-karts are a lot harder to handle, but it was all in good fun and I don’t regret doing it,” Silas added.

Heading into the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series, Silas hailing from Stuart, Florida has six ARCA RE/MAX Series starts to his credit with a career best finish of 16th at Toledo Speedway (September 2006). He holds a career best short track time trials effort of eighth at Berlin Raceway (July 2006). A 16th place qualifying effort at Talladega Superspeedway (October 2006) is Silas’s best Superspeedway run to date.

When not competing or testing for FTR, Bryan competes in both the Sportsman and Limited Late Model divisions at Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway.

Next up for Silas and FTR will be another private test session at Talladega Superspeedway, the final Superspeedway test for the team before they head to Daytona International Speedway (DIS) next month to officially kick off the 2007 ARCA Season, the 55th season for the series.

Silas made his restrictor plate debut at the intimidating 2.666-mile Superspeedway last October. After qualifying a solid 16th, Silas spent a majority of the race hovering in the top-15 before being swept into a multi-car incident.

Carter-2-Motorsports Has a Lot to Prove In 2007

STATESVILLE, North Carolina (Monday, January 8, 2007) - - When the green flag flies next month at Daytona International Speedway, Roger Carter, II with his Carter-2-Motorsports team will set sail for the first of 23 ARCA RE/MAX Series races in their freshman year of competition.

While gunning for several milestones this rookie season, Carter, II has bigger plans. Utilizing his 3400-pound stock car, Carter, II plans to promote his sponsor FreeFeds.org. A very unique and promising new avenue to the racing community in 2007 has the Carter-2-Motorsports team eyeing instant success and exposure.

FreeFeds.org. is a non-profit organization. Their sole purpose is to gain public support for adding parole for non-violent, non-repeat offenders to the federal prison system. They are of the belief that the federal justice system is in need of a total reform.

Free Feds Foundation supports all national, state and local incentives to instate the 5.3 million ex-felons in the United States with voting rights, so they will have their constitutional rights reinstated and have valuable input into our political system after almost 200 years.

“It’s very true that we have a lot to prove this season, but we’re up for the challenge,” said ARCA RE/MAX Series Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Roger Carter, II. “In addition to our fight on the racetrack, we’re continuing our fight off the track as well with our sponsors and our beliefs. We support our sponsor 100 percent and will continue investing all of our down time in making sure we spread the word about the Free Feds Foundation and H.R. 3072.”

Overall, the Free Feds Foundation might be one of the most interesting sponsors to enter the racing world, but they are coming with burning intent, a package and a goal. While racing to a checkered flag may be one of Carter II’s goals heading into his inception year, he is primarily racing towards broadening his horizons and reaching out to the race fans and non-to support the Free Feds Foundation.

“Everyone can help,” he said. “We are looking for individual support and we are hoping that corporate American will step up to the plate and equally support our efforts. He added, “There is a lot to be done and I know our mission will help a lot of people when we succeed. We need all the support and backing the Free Feds Foundation can get and we look forward to talking, explaining and working with everyone all year.”

Carter, II whose ARCA RE/MAX Series operation is based in Statesville, North Carolina will run Dodge Chargers in 2007. The team will run the No. 48 handed over from the legendary James Hylton who retired from ARCA competition following the 2006 season finale at the new Iowa Speedway.

Bryan Silas; Fast Tracking Racing Smooth In Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla (Tuesday, December 19, 2006) - - 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Bryan Silas utilized the final testing session of the year this past weekend at Daytona International Speedway not only to familiarize himself with the demanding superspeedway but also develop chemistry with his new home, Fast Track Racing whom together they will make a charge for the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series championship.

The ARCA RE/MAX Series conducted a three-day test (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with Silas turning very competitive lap times all three days.

Silas never saw the 2.5-mile superspeedway before Friday, but you would never know that based upon his early performance. 48 teams took laps around the track with Silas in his No. 11 Chevrolet Monte Carlo whipping together a time of 50.347 seconds at 178.759 seconds putting him a strong seventh in the final rundown.

“Friday went great,” said Silas, a native of Florida. “Our Fast Track Racig Chevrolet is very fast, we’re just working the bugs out. I enjoyed racing at Talladega, but I love Daytona even more.”

With former ARCA Daytona winner and car owner Andy Hillenburg at his side, the team rolled into the speed plant on Saturday looking to keep the momentum rolling for a second straight day. During the course of the eight hour test, Silas once again showed rookie strength by maneuvering a lap of 50.037 seconds or 179.867 mph placing him a solid eighth on the charts.

“Saturday was a successful day,” continued Silas, who competed in six ARCA RE/MAX Series events this season. “The car was better and our times proved that. We’re looking as a team to come out of the box strong in February. I am glad we are concentrating hard on our setups in this test; I have a feeling that when we return, we’re going to be a lot stronger and we’ll be a threat for a top-10 qualifying effort.”

ARCA allowed the teams to embrace the draft on Sunday with Fast Track Racing in the heat of the action. For a third consecutive day, Silas and the FTR team picked up the pace again hoisting a lap of 49.958 seconds amounting to 180.151 mph. While the drafting time didn’t put the team into the top-10, the effort was solid enough for 23rd, just a few tenths of a second off the leader.

“Overall, I think the test went great,” added Silas. “I really like Daytona. It’s a fast track and I think I have a chance for my first top-10 finish in a couple months. I want to thank my team for their hard work this past weekend, we had a great car.”

Car owner and former ARCA champion Andy Hillenburg was also pleased with the weekend. “The Fast Track Racing did a good job. Bryan did an impressive job. We learned a lot in Daytona and I think it will really benefit us for the season opener in February. I think our team is capable of finishing in the top-10 and that’s our goal.”

Phillip McGilton To Test In Daytona; Preparing For ARCA ’07 Opener

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla (Thursday, December 14, 2006) - - In an effort to strengthen their program for the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series season, Phillip McGilton (pronounced McJilton) and his SI Performance Motorsports team have elected to participate in the final testing session of the 2006 season from Daytona International Speedway this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

McGilton will return to the ARCA RE/MAX Series next season on the heels of a successful limited schedule this year. The team competed in six events posting one top-ten at Kansas Speedway with several solid performances following. The team also prevailed as a strong qualifying team easily earning them a berth to compete in the events.

McGilton will utilize this weekend’s testing session in an effort to become more familiar with restrictor plate racing while also learning the characteristics of the 2.5-mile Superspeedway, the first of 23 events on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series calendar.

The team attempted to make their restrictor plate debut in the Food World 250 at Talladega Superspeedway this October. After posting very fast and competitive lap times in a brand new Chevrolet, a mechanical failure in qualifying forced the team to end their weekend early and regroup for this weekend’s activities.

“It’s a shame what happened at Talladega, but we’re ready for Daytona,” recalled McGilton. “My team has been working very hard to make our Chevrolet Monte Carlo even stronger than it was at Talladega and I believe we’ll have something that is capable of winning. I’m really excited.”

A huge field of teams and cars is expected for this weekend’s venue, but McGilton sees the test as a chance to get familiar with the draft and learn the track, something he feels will benefit him when the series returns to the Florida track in February.

“The draft is so huge in these races,” McGilton explained. “I was able to draft a little bit at Talladega but nothing under race conditions. I know that ARCA won’t let us draft right away this weekend, but when they do, we’ll be in the mix. I’ve seen Daytona, but never had the opportunity to compete on it. This weekend it will be another track I can add to my resume, it’s really an exciting feeling.”

He continued, “Daytona is a lot different from Talladega. Daytona is not going to be as smooth as Talladega was so the comfort level will be night and day. The track isn’t as long as Talladega, so there’s a whole bunch of small things that make it a completely different track. Luckily, both tracks have the same features that allow us to use the same types of cars and engines.”

“We’re looking to shake down our car and see how our lap times level off in both single car runs and in the draft. We’re going to have to make the Daytona race on time, so we’ll concentrate on our qualifying setup a lot this weekend. The tests are meant for trial and error. I’m sure we’re going to be doing a lot of that this weekend, I think when we leave on Sunday we’ll be feeling much better about February.”

The Daytona ARCA 200 will serve as the first of a minimum of eight ARCA RE/MAX Series races the SI Performance Motorsports team will run in 2007. The team expects to compete in several different superspeedways while eliminating the short tracks, a change from their 2006 plans.

SI Performance and Gould’s Electric will return as the team’s sponsors next season.

Andy Belmont Racing Flocks To Daytona Test With Freshman Group

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Thursday, December 14, 2006) - - Andy Belmont Racing (ABR) planning to make their 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series season the strongest yet heads to the final ARCA RE/MAX Series open test session of the 2006 season this week at Daytona International Speedway with a series of rookie drivers in preparation for the 2007 opener.

Andy Lally, Joey McCarthy, Ted Olswfski, Mark Swan, John Graham and Bill Catania will all take their first laps around the 2.5-mile Superspeedway in a scheduled three-day test at DIS this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Lally, heads to the “World Center of Racing” on the heels of a successful and promising stock car test in an ABR entry at Lowes Motor Speedway. Lally was the 2006 Rolex Grand Am Champion.

"I am really excited to drive at Daytona. I had such a good time at Charlotte and am really looking forward to being with Andy Belmont and the team again,” explained Lally, a native of Georgia. "The last time I drove here on the oval was in 2001 with the Goody’s Dash Series; I had a great time then and am looking forward to this opportunity."

McCarthy may be a stranger to Daytona International Speedway, but he is not a stranger to racing. McCarthy, a well-known competitor and winner in the NASCAR Busch East Series is now working full time for ABR.

“I just want to thank Andy (Belmont) for giving me this opportunity to work hands on with his guys and giving me this opportunity to test in Daytona, everyone of these guys in the shop work 110 percent every week and I am glad to be able to showcase their hard work on the track,” said McCarthy.

Ted Olswfski, a rookie competitor in the ARCA RE/MAX Series will take his first laps in a car prepared by Andy Belmont Racing. Olswfski is a native of Pennington, New Jersey. He made one ARCA RE/MAX Series start this season at Pocono Raceway finishing 26th after starting 30th.

“I feel positive about the upcoming test at Daytona. It enables me to get away from work, feel some warmer temperatures, and spend some time with my family. I can’t also forget that I am going to get some practice in and drive at one of the most notorious race tracks on the ARCA circuit,” explained Olswfski.

Mark Swan, a newcomer to Motorsports in 2001 has been vigorously participating in driving schools in preparation for his new endeavor into the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Swan, a native of Georgia is a veteran in the SCAA Series, while also hoisting experience in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series at Lanier Speedway in 2003.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to test at Daytona with ABR,” noted Swan. “Since I began racing in 2001 I have always had the long range goal of competing in ARCA and this test will be my first step. Andy has a proven record of mentoring drivers and my goal is to gather as much information as possible and draw from his years of experience as I turn my first laps in an ARCA RE/MAX series car.”

24-Hours of Le Mans Veteran John Graham will wheel away from his road course experience and steer towards a new gig in stock cars. Graham will arrive at the test this week sporting podium finishes at Sebring, Petit LeMans, Portland, Sonoma, Adelaide and Mosport.

"This is definitely a great opportunity for me. I have raced at Daytona many times in the past but only on the road circuit so being able to finally run the NASCAR circuit will be a great challenge” commented Graham.

Bill Catania attempted to make his ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at Toledo Speedway this September. While the rookie didn’t have quite enough to make the show, he is hoping to utilize this week’s test as a supplement to prepare for a strong 2007 limited season. Catania, 30 has also been spending time in North Carolina at Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track High Performance Driving School preparing for his journey around Daytona.

“I am very excited about driving at Daytona,” said Catania. “I was talking with Andy (Belmont) over the weekend and he feels that this is the best his equipment has looked heading to the test – that is exciting. My goal is to get as much experience as possible running a plate motor and of course getting familiar with the track. The time spent at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this year has been invaluable in preparation for the Daytona test. I have come to Daytona almost every year since 1990. It’s a special place for me personally, and like many racers that have spent any amount of time Saturday night racing, some dream of driving at Daytona. I’m glad my dream is coming true.”

“ABR has a big weekend ahead,” said owner and driver Andy Belmont. “My guys have been working a lot of hours, countless amounts of hours preparing three cars for this weekend’s test. I have a talented group of drivers going to Daytona with me and I’m looking forward to seeing our cars near the front.”

When asked about the inexperience of his drivers, Belmont didn’t seem fazed.

“There are going to be a lot of rookies at the test this weekend,” he said. “I’m going to coach them in every possible way I can and hope they will use their talent and head on the track. I wouldn’t let them climb in the car if I didn’t feel they were capable of doing the job.”

Belmont, who also recently announced the purchase of ARCA’s No. 62 program, will announce his 2007 Daytona lineup following the Holidays.

It takes a team to win and Nick realizes that each individual of our team plays a vital role and is essential in making victory lane a reality. I really expect his schedule to expand as the 2007 season progresses and that’s our main goal.”

For Tucker, he is looking forward to the new endeavor.

"I am really excited to be working with Roger and the whole Carter 2 Motorsports team,” said Tucker. “I feel like there is a lot of potential to achieve some success as the year progresses." Tucker is expected to be at all 23 ARCA RE/MAX Series events next season helping out the with the No. 48 team when not preparing his No. 60 entry.

“Limited Schedule Allows Preparation For Full ’08 Season”

CONVINGTON, Kentucky (December 9, 2006) - - Michigan’s S&H Motorsports announced today during the ARCA RE/MAX Series press conference session, the prelude to the 54th annual ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship awards banquet at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Kentucky they will once again run a limited schedule in the series next season with veteran driver Howard Bixman returning.

S&H Motorsports competed in four ARCA RE/MAX Series races this season tying a season and career best of 20th at Michigan International Speedway in August. The team also collected their career best qualifying effort of 18th in their Chicagoland Speedway debut for the SK Hand Tool 200.

On the strength of their improving performances from the 2006 season, S&H Motorsports is in full swing preparing for what is expected to be a strong 2007 season. The team will compete in a minimum of seven ARCA RE/MAX Series events beginning at Kentucky Speedway next May.

“The S&H Motorsports team is very pleased with the results of our 2006 season, but we’re itching for more,” said driver Howard Bixman. “We really made some excellent strides last season. We had a great run at our home track of Michigan and made some noise with our performance at Chicagoland.

Now we’ll utilize one more season of limited racing to gain additional knowledge and track time before making the transition towards a full schedule and championship in 2008.” In addition, the team also announced that they will once again bring awareness to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation. The Tim Horton Children’s Foundation was established in 1974 by Ron Joyce, Co-Founder of the Tim Hortons chain, to honor Tim Horton's love for children and his desire to help those less fortunate. The Children's Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp environment for children from economically disadvantaged homes. Every year, local children are selected from each of the communities in which a Tim Horton’s store operates, giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend one of their camps. The camp experience is designed to give children confidence in their abilities, pride in their accomplishments, and the chance to gain a positive view of this world and their future in it.

“We were very happy with the exposure and feedback that we received from the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation this year,” continued Bixman. “However, there is always room for improvement and that’s one of our main goals for the 2007 ARCA season. One of our goals is to step up the financial support to the camps from the teams and fans. We appreciate the support from the foundation and we’re all looking for some magic of our own next year.”

Behind the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, S&H Motorsports also has several marketing partners returning next season. New Millennium Homes (http://www.michiganmodular.com), Stanley Industries, Port City Racing, S&H Contracting, The Casite Company, Ford Racing, Disposal Express, Permanent Floor Coatings, Lincoln Welders, and NGK Spark Plugs, will adorn their logos on the team’s Ford next season.

The team is in final negotiations for Deka Batteries and Penske Racing Shocks to return with the organization.

“We’ve been very fortunate that most of our associate marketing partners will be returning with us next season,” added Bixman. “We try to ensure that each marketing partner receives maximum exposure possible and I believe that’s a huge reason they are all returning with us in 2007.”

Also, for 2007, Bixman will proudly continue to carry the blue oval banner of Ford as his team’s primary manufacturer. S&H Motorsports has also extended an agreement with Roush Racing based in Livonia, Michigan to handle the team’s engine program for the season. The team will continue to receive equipment assistance from Robert Yates Racing.

The Fenton, Michigan based team is still heavily seeking more marketing partners for their efforts next year. “We have some great programs available to marketing partners on several different levels.. We have a stronger program set for next year, any additional marketing partners we gather will be impressed,” added Bixman.

“I am looking forward to the 2007 racing season,” said driver Michael Faulk. “The MB3 Motorsports team is working hard preparing for next season. We have everything in place and I really think we’ll be someone to beat next year. “

Faulk and the MB3 Motorsports team made their second ARCA RE/MAX Series start at Talladega Superspeedway this past October piloting the same Dodge Charger that female sensation Erin Crocker steered to a 10th place finish at Daytona.

Faulk qualified 17th for the final Superspeedway race of the season. Faulk made a lasting impression in the race drafting his Dodge to the top of the field leading for five markers before being shuffled back to a eighth place finish. It was the second-straight top-10 effort for the team, as they also finished ninth in their debut at Nashville Superspeedway in April.

“We were very successful in our two races this season,” added Faulk, a former Hooter’s Pro Cup Series driver. “We competed in a limited schedule to shake out all the bugs and I think they are all gone. We’re going to be much stronger next season and I’m looking forward to the positive outlook for this team.”

Corrie Stott will call the shots for Faulk next season. Stott has over 20 years of experience in Motorsports and has experience as a shop foreman and crew chief for multiple NASCAR Nextel Cup teams over the years. “Corrie has been great to work with,” said the rookie driver. “We came out of the box really strong at Talladega and we communicate on the same level and that’s important. I think we have all the right ingredients to put ourselves in victory lane.”

The team will run in more than half of the scheduled events on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series calendar. The team plans to compete in only two short track events at Lakeland Speedway, in Florida – brand new to the ARCA schedule and Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. The remainder of the team’s schedule will come at tracks equaling a mile and a half or greater.

Faulk, a third generation driver has two ARCA starts to his resume with a career best finish of eighth at Talladega Superspeedway (October 2006) while holding an additional top ten finish of ninth at Nashville Superspeedway (April 2006). He holds a career best superspeedway time trials effort of 17th at Nashville Superspeedway (April 2006) and Talladega Superspeedway (October 2006).

Dexter Bean, BlackJack Racing Returns With ARCA In ’07 With Unfinished Business

CONVINGTON, Kentucky (December 9, 2006) - - Before accepting his trophy for finishing 12th in the final ARCA RE/MAX Series standings this season, Dexter Bean announced at the ARCA RE/MAX Series annual press conference just several hours before the banquet that he will return to the series next year with his BlackJack Racing in tow gunning for the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series championship.

Bean, a native of Westby, Wisconsin was one of the hottest drivers on the tour in the last four events of the season where he grabbed his first Pork pole at Salem Speedway backing it up with one top-five and three top-10 finishes including setting the fastest laps of the race at Salem and the new Iowa Speedway.

“We’re very excited to be coming back to the ARCA RE/MAX Series next year,” said Bean. “Our team really improved from the beginning of the season to the end of the season and I’m really proud of that. Next year needs to be our year. We’re already working hard on our Daytona program and we hope to start our season off with the momentum we closed the season with in February.

While the team has the personnel, cars, motors and equipment in place, BlackJack Racing is still looking for a primary sponsor on the No. 6 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the 2007 season. The team went most of the 2006 season without the security of a primary sponsor. The team is working around-the-clock hoping to lock down some support for their championship bid next year.

“The BlackJack Racing team is doing everything we can to make someone a great home,” continued Bean. “I think we’ve really proven ourselves in the ARCA series and we have some promising meetings with potential sponsors after the banquet, so we hope to have some great news to announce soon.”

While the team is fiercely looking for a primary sponsor, the team’s longtime sponsor, Five Star Telecom will return as an associate sponsor next season.

Five Star Telecom, who’s supported Bean for several years will return to ARCA for a second year of full-time racing. Since their beginning in 1973, Five Star Telecom has become one of the largest interconnect companies in the Upper Midwest, with multiple locations serving the tri-state area.

Bean did also announce at the banquet that the team will continue to carry the Chevrolet bowtie in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. The team will carry horsepower from both Tesar Racing Engines and Wegner Performance Motors.

Chris Bires, brother-in-law of NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver Johnny Sauter and NASCAR Busch Series drivers Jay and Tim Sauter will continue to serve as crew chief of the No. 6 Monte Carlo.

“Chris did a tremendous job for BlackJack Racing last season,” added Bean. “We were a very successful duo. He is very instrumental for the positive outlook of this team and I look forward to continuing to have him on my side next season.”

In addition, BlackJack Racing also confirmed that Jeff Spraker of Spraker Racing Enterprises will continue to serve as a consultant to the growing team for the 2007 racing season.

“Jeff helped me a lot in my rookie year,” added Bean. “His guidance and support was influential to me. When times were tough he calmed me down, in moments of triumph he was there to congratulate me. He was a great asset to our organization and I’m glad he’ll be around next season.”

Spraker was also a key in the successful bid for Bean’s NASCAR Busch Series debut at Memphis Motorsports Park. After struggling in practice, Bean overcame the odds qualifying 37th. During the course of the race, Bean kept his No. 63 JDRF.org Ford clean and brought home a very respectable 32nd place finish.

BlackJack Racing will continue their foray in the NASCAR Busch Series by competing in five-to-seven NBS events next year as well.

“The more seat time I receive, the better I’m going to be overall,” added Bean. “I’ve set some goals for myself for next season and they are easily achievable. Hopefully when Daytona rolls around in February, sponsorship will be locked and we can worry about one thing, the championship!”
